Easter

Nolan's First Easter

Nolan had his first Easter today.   He had a good day! He got a cute Easter basket from Grammy and Poppy Smart- it had some books, food, bibs, and chocolate in it! He'll have to give the chocolate to Mom and Dad.  He had a good time visiting with them!

Nolan drove to Cleveland to visit with Aunt Jenni and Uncle Kevin over Easter break.  We got to have lunch with them at Applebees and had a good visit! We can't wait until they can come visit us...

Nolan had fun visiting with Grammy and Poppy!   Nolan also got a cool present in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Stephany.  He got a bat, golf set, wiffle balls, and some cool outfits from them!  Thank you for all the treats!!

Hey there...

We are indeed alive and well. Can you tell that we are parents? We haven't blogged in months!! Here are some pictures of the little guy in action. We are enjoying him and it seems that he thinks we are pretty cool as well. Nolan is about 4 1/2 months old now, and it is getting better every day. At his 4 month check-up he weighed 15 lbs. 8 oz. and was 26 inches long. He is starting to develop a pretty cool personality. He likes to play with his toys for only a certain amount of time, and after that he has to be entertained. He is a drooling machine lately, and everything he grabs he tries to put in his mouth! He doesn't have any teeth yet, but we think that process is seriously starting. He giggles when we make strange sounds and tickle him. Enjoy the pictures!
Nolan got to visit with cousin Sophia (2 months old). We were amazed at the difference 2 months made! We realized how quickly we had forgotten how little Nolan once was.

Nolan loves to grab his feet and pull his socks off. Mom finds this cute yet a little frustrating!

We try to give him a lot of "tummy time". He is starting to like it more and is getting stronger!

Nolan soaks his bibs in about 20 minutes after putting them on him. He loves to bite at toys, and he drools a lot! He loves this butterfly toy.

I'm a frog!

Grammy and Poppy Smart got Nolan a crib for their house. It is the same exact one he has at his own house, and the bedding is so cute! This will be great for taking naps at their house when Nanny Grammy is watching Nolan :)

Grandma and Grandpa Stephany came to visit along with Aunt Cheryl and Sophia back in February. We hung out, ordered pizza, and we went to Babies R Us (of course!). It was a great time! It was like toyland in our living room with all the bouncey seats, toys, and the pack n play. We were happy they came out to see us :)

Some thoughts from Mommy....

Since Bryan usually is the only one who updates the blog, I thought I would make an attempt at joining in on the fun of blogging. Our life has changed a lot over the past 2 months, and I thought I would share in some of the realizations I've had on the adjustment to motherhood.

You know you're a new mom when....

1. You go grocery shopping at 6 am when Daddy and Baby are still sleeping and WalMart is not as crazy ..... you can take your time and use coupons......exciting!
2. Daddy is watching the baby so you can run to a doctor's appointment.....you realize you're desperate for a haircut.... on a whim you go to Borics...ahh!
3. It's 2 pm and you're still in your pajamas...
4. It's 5 pm and you're still in your pajamas...
5. Oh wait....you're in your pajamas all day...
6. An exciting day out is going to Panera and Babies R Us.
7. You schedule everything around when baby eats and sleeps.
8. You cheer and get excited over baby's bowl movements and burps.....
9. You make up new songs and dances so baby will stop crying...
10. When changing Baby at Panera you forget to be careful and you get peed on....it sprays up over the changing table, onto the floor, onto your sweater, and in your hair! You scream because of shock....and realize there are 2 other people in the bathroom hearing it all!

I'm sure I'll have more moments in the weeks to come....I'll update later........ :)
